I dig deep shit.

So tell me PXE, what do you want out of life? At the very core, tell me:

1. Career-wise, if you could do anything with your life, live any dream, what would it be?

2. Personally, what are your aspirations? What do you want to achieve? How do you want to leave your mark, what do you want for yourself?

My DREAM would have to be being an actor or comedian. I'd love to do either of those things, but I doubt either will happen. A more realistic dream of mine, I guess, is being a Journalist (probably music). But I doubt that will happen either tbh :/

I'm doing Media, Drama, English and ICT/Psychology at Sixth Forum (higher education, 16-18) and want to go to University and do Media and probably English. That's my plan anyway.

Btw,

1. Make a living out of playing music, working on many prjects with many different people, and playing onstage simply relishing the feeling of people rocking out to my own creativity, seeing people happy by hearing what I and my band play.

2. Genuine happiness. Pure satisfaction and contentness. A loving wife, and like ten fucking kids. A huge family.

My absolute Dream would be to be in a successful band or be an Astronomer. Both would be nice.

As for happiness; Just a few close friends, steady income to be able to live comfortably, and relatively no responsibilities.

Being a fighter of liberation will make life worthy, with feelings of love for humanity and guide my people to the path to martyrdom and freedom while resurrecting the caliphate. I don't consider leaving a mark on this world nor to prove my existence, but I want total happiness without dukkha and doubt. If I couldn't do that, at least I want to spread my message through music.

As for happiness, I would move a step closer of devotion to my religion and understanding for others. I want to live for others.

If I could pick anything? I'd want to be an illustrator/graphic artist. Chances of it are well, ridiculously low. But oh well. I love science as well, so that's the other path I'd like to take. I'll take the science path in school, as truly successful graphic designers don't need any sort of crappy attempt at art subject teaching, and so I'll pursue it separately.

For happiness, I'm not sure what I want. I'll want a partner, like most do. But I'm not sure if a big family is a necessity. I mean, I'm 15, I just know that I'll want to love what I'm doing in the future and be surrounded by people I love in a place I want to live - no specifics.

I too, dig deep shit. I'm very philosophical, probably deceivingly so if you met me in real life, and the shit I'm about to throw out here would be some of the last things you'd expect me to say on first impressions. I probably tend to over think things too, which is a blessing and a curse.

1. Career-wise? In the long run, my incredibly optimistic dream is to have money. Lots and lots of money. I'm studying business, with the hope that I can get into a top managerial role, or start my own business and make it huge. The money, however is not for material greed. Believe it or not, my dream occupation is not the typical that most would have heard of. Instead, my dream occupation is to make around $20,000,000 NZD, and then leave my job/sell the business, and put that money in the bank. With the weekly interest that money generated, which I have worked out to be around $17,000 NZD per week, I would set to work improving my community and the people who have made me the person I am today, using my wealth. I'd do this by personally overseeing the construction for new rooms for hospitals, schools, etc, and I'd seek people in the community who require things, and personally order and organize it for them, such as new sports gear for a club, or accommodation for a school trip etc. I'd even just give cash gifts to those who just deserve some recognition and reward for their efforts, or if they're in dire need. That's my dream. I get a greater sense of happiness from giving and seeing the joy in others and knowing I had something to do with it that happiness, as opposed to receiving a gift myself. The happiness of others, and achieving as much, is truly my dream occupation.

2. Personally? I guess I could only hope, in summary, to be happy. I don't feel as though I need material goods to achieve my happiness, but that's not to say I like or would want to live poorly. I'd still like to have nice things, a nice car, etc, but in reality they'd all just be materials that make up the fabric of my living, as opposed to the reason I live altogether. I want to have children, and raise them with the morals and love and respect for the others that I've come to develop and cherish through experience, and hopefully after taking what I tell them and teach them, they can learn even more themselves and become better people than I ever will be, and pass on their knowledge and moral beliefs onto their children, and their children after. I want a loving wife, kind, beautiful, hopefully sharing my philosophies on the world, but obviously I know that is unlikely, and I'm not going to change or manipulate anyone into the person I want them to be. I want my wife to be selfless, empathetic, friendly, loyal, and along with being my wife, be my best friend.

In terms of how I want to leave my mark, is that I want to be remembered as a kind, loving father, brother, and son, who always put others before himself, was incredibly generous, and some one everyone felt they could always rely on a talk to. To be honest, I don't really care about what I want for myself. I'd rather look at the wants of others and do everything in my power to achieve those before I even consider thinking about myself. Before I experienced the tragedies I had in the past couple of years, I was a fairly self-centered, selfish, and ignorant kind of person. I considered not what another person thought or felt, but rather how I thought it should be thought about or felt. I'm not happy that the events happened, but I don't regret that they do either, because the lessons they taught me and the strength and drive for better fulfillment in life that they empowered me with have given me a much better outlook on life that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Also, Ben, if you enjoy this kind of philosophical thing, and things that'll make you think, I think this site is for you.

http://makesmethink.com/

I visit there often already, and the stories there help me further my interpretation and thoughts about life, and I enjoy reading about the philosophy of others.
Not to mention that the stories I read on there often restore my faith in humanity, along with that some almost making me cry as I read some stories and I think about how I can relate to it, or that I have no idea of the heart break those people must be facing. It truly is an emotional roller coaster of a site, as some of the stories really brighten my day also.

Here's an example of some stories on there.

Quote:

"Today, my landscaping business partner and I were laying fresh sod in front of a new house. As we were working I was complaining about my relationship with my wife - how things haven’t been quite as magical as they once were. “When was the last time you cooked dinner for her, or took her out on a romantic date?” my partner asked. “It’s been awhile,” I said. “Well, the grass is always greener in the areas where you water it,” he replied."

Quote:

"Today, four days before my 8-year-old son and I would be evicted from our apartment, a family owned hotel and resort hired me and gave me an unexpected $3500 signing bonus - the exact amount I needed to avoid eviction. The owner delivered the bonus to me personally. She said, "All the people I talked to during your background check had great things to say about you, except your landlord. I know what it feels like to be out of work. I was once in your shoes. Welcome aboard." "

Quote:

"Today, my father found my little sister alive, chained up in a barn. She was abducted near Mexico City almost 5 months ago. Authorities stopped actively searching for her a few weeks later. My mother and I laid her soul to rest. We even had a funeral for her last month. All of our family and friends attended the ceremony except my father. He swore she was still alive. He looked for her all day, every day since she disappeared. And she’s back home now because he never gave up."
